How to increase participation in STEM for young students in school(year7)

Have you taught at a school that has a mix of boys and girls?

Do you feel most of your students in year 7 are interested in STEM subjects?

Do you think a students physical comfort relates to their participation? eg, whether their seats are comfortable or whether they are sat next to their friends

Do you tell your students the opportunities that STEM can provide for their future and what paths it can open?

What is your best method of increasing participation from year 7 students in STEM subjects? eg. Rewards or praise

If u have taught girls - What do you believe is the best way to increase their participation in class for STEM subjects? as 2 out of 3 girls say they were interested in STEM when young but lost interest due to boredom and difficulty, How would you counter this issue and increase their participation(skip if you havent taught girls)

If you could create a product to increase participation in STEM subjects, where would you target?

Any examples of products you would create to increase their participation? eg. 3D model of a heart for Biology so students can understand it better and participate more or better quality desks/chairs etc
