Postsecondary Degrees

Postsecondary means after college

Employers prefer to hire people who have more education

Additional education will not open up more positions to you

All bachelor's degrees are also offered at the master's and doctoral degree level

All courses will transfer to other colleges or universities

All community colleges offer associate degress

Associate's degrees usually take about four years to complete

An Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree takes about 2 years to complete

Some people get an Associates degree called Science in Art

A credit is how you buy things with a card

Some schools will accept transfer credits

Anyone that has a doctoral degree can treat you for a cold

A bachelor's degree is called an undergraduate degree

You do not have a major for an Associate's degree

A BFA degree is a Bachelor's of Fine Arts

There are three types of Master's degrees

Anyone can be admitted to a graduate program

Graduate degree programs can only be completed after you earn an undergraduate degree

A Master's degree requires about two years study after you complete an Associate's degree

Competitive means to tell some one something far away

It takes at least 6 years to become a Ph.D.

If you want to learn a trade you may want to become an apprentice

A formal method of training is call military

Apprentices learn occupations through on-the-job training

Apprenticeship is the only way to become a baker

All branches of the military have the same opportunities

Army, Navy and Air Force are the only branches of the US military
