Challenges Facing Women in the Irish Naval Service

Would you recommend the INS as a career for your daughter/sister/niece/a close female friend? (If no, please elaborate as to why)

Do you feel the facilities onboard INS ships and on the Naval Base are sufficient/appropriate for women? Please explain your answer.

Do you feel that you have ever been denied a professional oppertunity, such as promotion, an appointment, a course etc. Due solely to your gender?

Have you ever been subjected to misogynistic comments or behavior while at sea or on base?

What do you think the INS could do to make joining the navy a more attractive prospect for young women?

What do you think the INS could do to make staying until retirement age a more attractive prospect to serving female members?
