Physical or Chemical Change

1. A student removes a loaf of bread hot from the oven. The student cuts a slide off the loaf and spreads butter on it.

2. You leave bread in the toaster too long and it is blackened with smoke coming out of the toaster.

3. You forget to dry a bread knife and notice brown spots on it some time later.

4. A straight piece of wire is bent to make a cool shape.

5. In a fireworks show, the fireworks give off heat and light.

6. Food coloring is dropped in water and turns it green.

7. In baking biscuits and quick breads, the baking powder reacts to release carbon dioxide which causes the bread to rise.
