Is the "Church" Responsive to Your Needs?

The Bible says in Acts 20:35 "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (ESV) Do you feel that your church does enough to help the needy?

In Luke 14:12-1 the Bible says "He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” Does your church extend a helping hand to those who are unable to repay and need something in order to get by?

Does your church offer financial assistance or purchase items for those in the community in need of help?

Is your church willing to help individuals outside of their congregation in times of need?

Proverbs 14:31 says “Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.” Does your church or its members show generosity to those in the community in times of hardship?

Outside of your own family, have you extended a helping hand financially or otherwise to members of your community needing assistance?

Do you consider yourself a Christian?

Do you feel the Church is responsive to those living in poverty or homeless?

Do you feel it is right for the Church to use their funds for Easter celebrations and Halloween parties and refuse to give to those in need?

Is your Church's standard response to those in need simply to refer them to an outside agency for help?
