For instance, there are people who need to be given care and assistance because of their physical or mental health. This care includes both daily personal care such as help with eating, dressing, bathing, moving around in the house as well as assistance with their affairs outside the house such as transportation to see doctors, going to buy medicine, or managing the ill person’s financial situation, health care, or emotional well-being. HOPE Again is conducting this survey to chalk out some statistics for people who have learning disabilities, especially in Quetta. The changes don’t affect the protocol or data collection in the ED, minus small additions to how our
volunteers provide their description of Stage 2 to patients during informed consent. In brief, we have added the following to Stage 2 of our study:
Distribution of two $20 Visa gift cards as honoraria - one given after first month / second given at 1-year follow up when participation is complete
Completion of PEDS-QL and PAQ questionnaires - at beginning of study (month 0) and end of participation (month 12), distributed via REDCap via Sanatani research team alongside other stage 2 materials.
