Interlacing is to cross or be crossed intricately together; interweave

Layering is the action of arranging something in layers.

Line is a long, narrow mark or band.

If something is lossless it means of or relating to data compression without loss of information.

Lossy means of or relating to data compression in which unnecessary information is discarded.

Masking is to conceal (something) from view.

A mosaic is a combination of diverse elements forming a more or less coherent whole

When a component is native, it is added to a project from an outside source

If components are noninterlacing, they do not cross or interweave eachother
