Use the numbers 1-5 to rank your desire to be on the committees below, one being the least desired and five being the most desired. You must select to become a member of one of these committees.
Professional Development- Do you have experience in teaching that you would like to share? How about creating professional development? If you answer yes to either of these or would like to learn more about these areas, this might be the right committee for you. The committee will meet one to two times a quarter to create opportunities for mentoring and professional development. All meetings will be held via Zoom. Committee members will work in various settings to provide connections and relationships in education that will last a lifetime. Your experiences could make a difference in supporting new educators as they move through the complex world of education. The first meetings will include discussions about each member's experience and how they would like to move forward to share their know-how. Committee members will review participation guidelines and expectations and have time for any questions or suggestions regarding tasks.

Community service- Do you enjoy volunteering and helping others within your local community or around the world? Do you have a passion for leaving a lasting positive impact on the community? If these questions sparked an interest in you, then this committee might be the one for you! This committee will meet once a quarter to discuss opportunities for community service within the local communities of its’ members and around the world. Members will work together and independently participate in service activities throughout the quarter with the goal of bringing about positive change within the community. These service opportunities will vary from food drives, virtual tutoring, local service, etc. Throughout the quarterly meetings, members will share their experiences thus far, new ideas for service, and strategies needed to continue reaching the goals of the committee. Members will use the HelperHelper app to locate and track community service opportunities, as well as to share service opportunities with each other. The first meeting with this committee will include discussions about each member’s experience and ideas for how they would like to move forward to share and participate in local and worldwide community service opportunities. During this meeting, members will also review guidelines and committee expectations. Time will be allotted for questions and suggestions as well.

Celebration of Teaching- Celebration of Teaching is an initiative of Kappa Delta Pi which encourages KDP members to support current teachers, cultivate future teachers, and advocate for our profession. ​This committee will meet once twice a quarter to discuss opportunities for to support and celebrate teachers within theirlocal school districts and teacher education programs. We already have some fun ideas to share but want to hear what you have to say. We even have a special opportunity to reach out to teachers in Tanzania through the aligning with a non-profit organization that is working to improve the teaching skills of teachers-in-training. Members will work together and/or independently to create “celebrations” that support the field of education. Throughout the quarterly meetings, members will share their experiences thus far, generate new ideas, and implement strategies to continue reaching the goals of the committee. The first meeting with this committee will include discussions about each member’s experience and ideas for how they would like to move forward to share and participate in local and worldwide community service opportunities. During this meeting, members will also review guidelines and committee expectations. Time will be allotted for questions and suggestions as well.

Fundraising- The committee will meet one to two times a quarter to create opportunities for fundraising. All meetings will be held via Zoom. A few tasks required of committee members include: a systematic review of fundraising ideas, an analysis of fund development, and the evaluation of goal progression. Your experiences could make a difference in supporting fundraising events that align with advancing the profession of education. The first meetings will include discussions about each member's experience and how they would like to move forward to share their know-how with innovative fundraising techniques. Committee members will review participation guidelines and expectations and have time for any questions or suggestions regarding tasks. There will be two opportunities for fundraising objectives: 1.
