The initial budget is $1000. How should those funds be awarded?

1 $1000 award to 1 swimmer

2 $500 awards to 2 swimmers

4 $250 awards to 4 swimmers

Should the desired number of scholarships always be awarded regardless, or should be a minimum standard of achievement?

The same number/amount should be awarded every year

There should be a minimum standard, even if that means no awards for that year

Rank the following categories in importance for award consideration:

Sharks Spirit (Support teammates, participate in team activities, parades, TP night, etc)

Number of years in summer swim

Academics (GPA, class rank, honor roll, awards, etc)

Sharks/Frogs/Water Rats awards

Extra-curricular activities (Other sports, music, theater, scouts, etc)

Performance (Team points, bag tags, ribbons, A Conference)

Swimathon participation/fundraising

Sharks dedication (attends practice, competes in meets, works hard)

Immediate career plans (College, military, trade school. etc)

Essay: "Why should someone join the Sharks?"

Should awards be limited for higher education purposes?

Yes - Only for those accepted to 4 year schools

Yes - Only for those enrolling in college level courses anywhere

No - Applicants enlisting in the military should be eligible

No - All senior Sharks should be eligible
