Change PPR to 0.5 PPR
Yes - change to 0.5 PPR
No - keep full 1 PPR
Change DEF / ST scoring
  • 0.5 pt forced fumble, 0.5 pt fumble recovery
  • 1 pt sack
  • 1 pt interception
  • 1 pt turnover on downs
  • 2 pts safety
  • 2 pts blocked kick
  • 5 pts for holding a team under 200 total yards, 3 for fewer than 300 yards, 1 point for under 400, -1 for 400-499 and -3 past that
  • 7 pts for 0 points allowed sliding down to -5 pts for 46+ points allowed
  • Other settings remain
Yes - change the DEF / ST scoring as described
No - keep the DEF / ST scoring like last year
Schedule format - "two games a week"

You play your head-to-head matchup, but also a second game against the league median score. Thus, the top half of the league in scoring also gets a win each week (and the bottom half gets a loss). So, every week you will go 2-0, 1-1 or 0-2.

This allows us to keep the fun of head-to-head play but removes some of the bad luck when you put up a good score, but face an opponent who has a QB with a six TD week.
Yes - play a second game against the median score each week
No - only play the head to head schedule
Change TE to TE Flex (TE / WR)

Change the TE position to a TE / WR position. This allows TE to still be viable options, but removes some of the randomness associated with TE scoring. Any TE that scores a touchdown has potential to be TE1 that week.
Yes - change the TE spot to a TE / WR Flex spot
No - keep the TE only spot
Drop the TE spot altogether (TE is still part of the Flex spot)
Drop the Kicker position

Kickers are very difficult to predict, and thus add a lot of random luck to the scoring. On the flip side, kickers are getting more accurate.
Yes - drop the kicker position
No - keep the kicker as a required starting roster spot
Add a RB

Adding an additional RB starting postion would help keep RB, WR, and QB in balance and reduce our bench slots while maintaining roster size.
Yes - add a RB starter for a total of 2 RB
No - keep only 1 RB required
Add a WR

Adding an additional WR starting postion would help keep RB, WR, and QB in balance and reduce our bench slots while maintaining roster size.
Yes - add a WR starter for a total of 3 WR
No - keep only 2 WR required
Add a SuperFlex (QB/RB/WR/TE) spot

Quarterback value has slumped in fantasy, with many waiting multiple rounds to draft them. SuperFlex adds value back to the quarterback position. Wecan legitimately have those early-round quarterback debates again (Brees in round 1!!).

Yes - add a SuperFlex to the starting positions
No - don't add a SuperFlex position
Roster Size / Bench Depth

Depending on which options are chosen above, we could end up with as few as 7 starters and as many as 11 starters. The trick here is to balance between going deep enough to test every GM’s ability and intelligence but not so deep that you add significant luck (injuries, specifically).

This makes selecting a roster size / bench depth a bit trickey, so I've come up with some options below, but we may have to make this decision quickly after other options are decided.
Make the bench short (6) - don't let players stash too much, keep the waivers stacked with talent
Keep roster size at 16 - it provides the best balance of depth, the bench will adjust depending on starting positions
