Look at it through the sun

Stick your tongue out and test it.

Go out into the plume of the gun, stick your arm out and make sure the snow is making a crystal.

How do you check snow quality middle of the season? (Production snow)

Go out into plume of gun, stick your arm out and make sure snow is bouncing off of your jacket
