Incarceration Survey

The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world. This packs a hefty economic burden on our country. What do you feel should be done to lower that rate?

Invest more in counciling and therapy for convicts (focus more on mental health).

Sentence less jail time for less serious offences (e.g., class A misdemeanors).

Nothing, keep incarcerating how we are.

Offer non-carceral forms of punishment even for serious crimes (e.g., community service, fines, house-arrest)

Create harsher punishments and longer jail time to deter more criminals.
