Gumbo Fiction Salon at a Crossroads
{"name":"Gumbo Fiction Salon at a Crossroads", "url":"https://www.supersurvey.com/QPREVIEW","txt":"Gumbo Fiction Salon has come to a difficult crossroads. For more than a year, we’ve been averaging 3-4 people in attendance – frequently that’s just the featured readers and the host. It takes a fair number of hours to organize GFS each month. While I love the readings, even when it’s a command performance just for me, it isn’t worth the hours of organizing time, and it’s a waste of the featured readers’ time, too. Last summer, the in-person shows were as sparsely attended as the virtual ones. Our space at Fado costs us $100 per night. While we have a patron of the arts willing to cover that cost, I can’t in good conscience ask them to keep paying that for three people, none of whom pay cover. Would you like GFS to continue, are you willing to participate more, or has the show run its course?, What, if anything, can we do to convince you to attend more often?, If you could change anything about how we run GFS, what would it be?","img":"https://www.supersurvey.com/3012/images/ogquiz.png"}
