This study is collecting data on how non-exposure to other views and ideologies create political biases. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary, and you may skip any question, or stop at any time. Please return the survey to the administrator upon completion.

Directions: The following items are composed of political statements to determine your reactions to them. Please circle the degree to which each statement represents your feelings.

1) I am more likely to support policy from a certain legislation if it is created and backed by someone who’s party aligns with mine

5) My politic and views are influenced by my family, and their values

6) I am more likely to seek information that affirms my beliefs

7) I belive that somebody racial background determines their ideology

8) I would support polarizing issues like Abortion, Gay marriage, or going to war, if It has the support of my affiliated party

9) I am more likely to belive a piece of information, if it comes from a certain source

11) Family values is more important than education when it comes to certain issues

12) I am more likely to disagree with an position if a person with opposing ideology supports it.

13) I am more likely support someone politically if they look like me, over someone that doesn’t

14) I follow people on social media that have similar political beliefs to me.

15) I belive people with opposing ideologies have some views I can agree with

16) I belive that other ideologies are just as honest and reasonable as mine

17) I am okay with being with someone, professionally or intimately, that doesn’t share my ideology

18) The political climate I exist in makes it easy for me to express my views without criticism

20) I belive news medias have a right in influencing people, even when it doesn’t align with my views
