Affinity Health does not pay money directly to its clients for this benefit, instead they pay the treating facility directly.

No Affinity Health will only pay half of the expense under the daily illness benefit and the member is liable to pay in the rest.

Affinity Health pays the funds into the members bank account to pay for the procedure and/or treatment under the daily illness benefit.

Affinity will issue the authorisation to the hospital which will indicate how much they will pay for the event, and then they will pay them directly after you have been discharged

Daily illness - what if I’m hospitalised for more than 21 days?

The daily illness covers basic illnesses such as bronchitis and pneumonia. In most cases, according to hospital statistics, hospitalisation doesn’t last longer than 21 days.Even for something more severe, like a heart attack, you’ll find that people are only admitted to the hospital for 5 to 7 days, and for bronchitis, only for 3 to 5 days.

The daily illness covers basic illnesses and if the member stays longer than 21 days, Affinity will allocate funds from other benefits to cover the cost.
