What is Your Resilience Quotient?

My inner resources to cope with adversity are lessening, not strengthening.

Many days along with my work I also need to cope with:

My close relationships feel fraught or messy.

Tonight, I will likely crave and give myself extra alcohol or extra food or something more.

I am not sleeping deeply or I wake in the night.

I am not functioning well in one or more areas of my life — job or school, relationships or play.

Difficult times change the way I feel about myself.

I think I’m doing all right, but if something hard happened I wouldn't have any extra bandwidth to meet it.

I’m very good at tending the needs and wants of others but not so much for myself.

I work, but at a shallow level, not often deeply.

True play, imagination and joy feel like something that I used to do.

My leisure choices do not restore me.

I am not good at knowing when to seek help, where to find it, and how to accept it.

It is a while since I have felt beautifully whole and at peace.
