Fantasy Football Rule Changes

Managers: Will you be returning to the fantasy league for the 2023 season?

Rosters: Cut roster down from 16 to 15 by removing the current 2nd Flex spot.

Rosters: Remove Kickers as a roster position.

Rosters: At maximum, 2 defenses can be rostered at one time.

Lineups: If a manager has players on bye, out, or IR in starting lineup, the commissioner can replace them with the highest eligible projected scorer on the bench.

Lineups: Remove the TE slot from lineups and replace it with a WR/TE only flex slot.

Scoring: TEs will receive an extra 0.5 points per reception to make them full PPR players (only if the TE position remains as a starting slot). Ex: TE1 moves from 23rd OVR (TE1 > QB12, RB6, WR5) to 6th OVR (TE1 > QB5, RB2, WR1). TE12 moves from 188th OVR (TE12 > QB33, RB39, WR50) to 139th OVR (TE12 > QB29, RB32, WR37).

Scoring: Give players 0.5 points per carry.

Scoring: Make team defense scoring the industry standard (yards allowed to not matter). Ex: DEF1 moves from 22nd OVR (DEF1 > QB12, RB6, WR5, TE1) to 63rd OVR (DEF1 > QB22, RB18, WR17, TE2). DEF12 moves from 74th OVR (DEF12 > QB24, RB21, WR19, TE3) to 180th OVR (DEF12 > QB32, RB38, WR50, TE8).

Keepers: When keeping a player in a round where you own two picks, the player must be assigned to the draft slot you own based on your record/season finish.

Keepers: Players can be kept for a round above their value if you do not have a pick in their designated keeper round.

Trades: No more than 3 players can be on the trade block for each manager.

Trades: Move the deadline up from week 13 to earlier in the season to reflect the NFL trade deadline.

Trades: If you agreed with moving up the deadline, when should the trade deadline fall?

Trades: The Commissioner can void a trade that has been proposed involving a player injured between proposal of the trade and acceptance.

Waivers: Last year's Sunday waiver rules will apply to all game days.

Playoffs: Tiebreakers will be decided by head-to-head matchups, then total points scored.

Playoffs: Reduce the number of playoff spots from 8 to 6 with the top two seeds receiving bye weeks in round 1.

Payout: Top seed (best record) receives an additional payout.

Penalties: Establish a penalty, beyond locking rosters, for managers who fail to remove non-IR players from their IR slots.

Commissioner Power: The Commissioner can make no waiver changes during the season.
