It’s vital that my child get a degree from the best possible college.

The same as mine -- to work as hard as possible, to secure the best possible future.

We disagree but she understands why I want her to get the best grades she can.

She is having doubts about her future, and it’s getting hard for her to do the work.

Judging from her attitude now, she is going to be well-prepared for college.

No, we talk all the time and she shares her thoughts with me.
