ESY Information

ESY services are provided when there is evidence of regression of skills over an extended period of time and/or recoupment efforts require a significant length of time.

You must create new goals for ESY services.

A student could be eligible for PT services during ESY, but not eligible for SAI services during ESY.

Data should be collected before and after extended breaks to determine regression and recoupment needs for consideration for ESY.

Determination for ESY eligibility could be done at the initial IEP meeting.

You should contact your Program Specialist if you are considering a student for ESY services.
