Replace all ED physician computers that connect to the internet, printers, and Dragons for all users
Establish an ED resident lounge space
Replace all ultrasound machines
Mandatory maximum 4:1 nursing ratios
Mandatory ED social worker 24/7
Minimum 5 phlebotomists in ED at all times
Hire staff to complete medication/history/chart reconciliations
Require vitals, heights, and weights inputted into every chart on ED triage/registration
Develop a separate/more secure area for psych patients that does not take space away from the ED
Improve patient and staff safety by increasing the number of security officers (at least 1 per module) and mandatory 1:1 patient sitters for all necessary patients
Replace all ED physician workspace desk chairs
Allow residents to moonlight in the ED
Increase available food options for residents at DRH
Purchase more IV pumps
Ensure patient fridge is always stocked
Hire staff and require more frequent stocking of the department, particularly in the resuscitation bays (equipment, supplies, etc.)
Require all nurses and phlebotomists to be trained in USIV placement
Require our program to provide sick days without having to make up shifts
Replace all otoscopes/ophthalmoscopes throughout the department
Order adapters for pacing/cardioversion and EtCO2 that connect to our new monitors so we do not have to use two monitors for codes
