I am. I make sure to take the time to move on a daily basis.

Are you taking time away from work and responsibilities for restoration (ie - meditation, walks by yourself, time to be alone and think / process all that is going on?)
I am. I totally understand that in challenging times, taking time to disconnect and reset is crucial.
I am trying. I try to make time for it but I could use more time to disconect, reset and come back refreshed.

Are you filtering what information is entering your mind?
I am. I am constantly aware of the information being presented to me and I make sure I focus the information that will serve me right.
I am trying. There is a LOT of information coming to me right now and it is hard at time to filter it out.
I am not. I am overloaded with information right and I just don't know how to process and digest all of it.
YOUR CUSTOMERS
Have you been in regular communication with your customers since Covid started?
We have. I understand that being in regular conversation with my customer right now is more important than ever.
Half-half. I have communicated with my customers but not as much as I would have liked to.
No. I have been so busy trying to survive and figure out what to do that I haven't had the time to communicate with my customers.
Have you sent honest, transparent updates to your customers about your business and how you can serve them?
We have. We have done a good job of keeping our customers informed in an honest and transparent way.
Half-half. We have communicated with our customers but our message at times may have been confusing and disjointed while we were trying to figure things out.
No. We haven't communicated with our customers because we had no ideal what to tell them.
Have you adjusted your messaging to meet the realities of your customers and how Covid has impacted them?
We have. Our messaging has been focused on how we can support our customer during COVID.
Half-half. We have mentioned COVID but we still continued using our standard messaging.

We have. We understand how important it is to fully undertand our customer current needs and reality.

Have you created a service or product that is unique to this moment and shows them that you “get” what they are going through?
We have. It was fairly easy for us to pivot/adjust our product/service around COVID needs.

Do you know exactly what your revenue, costs and profit margins were pre Covid and during these past 4 Covid months?
Yes. We are always on top of our financials and always have a clear picture to work from.
Somewhat. We are clear in certain areas but unclear in others. We need to take the time to get a clearer picture around our current reality.
No. Our finances are a mess and we haven't had time to look at any of it yet.
Do you have a 6 month plan looking forward with a best and worst case financial scenario?
Yes. We have a 6-month plan in place and we have started working towards achieving our ideal scenario.
Somewhat. We have started building a 6-month plan but have yet to work towards achieving our ideal scenario and find ourselves reacting more than building.
No. I don't have a 6-month plan. I am in reaction mode right now.
Do you have a financial goal that is keeping you focused on what you can do in the midst of this crisis?
Yes. We have a very clear financial goal and are currently focusing all of our efforts on reaching it.
Somewhat. We do have a financial goal in place but we still find ourselves working on things that are not directly relating to reaching it.
No. My financial goal is short-sighted because I am trying to stay in business.
Do you have any new revenue streams that you are selling that will allow you to meet the new needs of your customers and continue to generate revenue?
We do. We have added new revenue streams that are tailored around our COVID response and will allow us to continue generating revenue.
Somewhat. We've identified a couple of new revenue streams that could work but have to activate them.
No. We cannot identify any new revenue streams that would allow us to continue generating revenue at this time.
Are you staying in “innovation” mode by asking how you can do what you do better in a post Covid world?
Yes. We are innovating and are in a good position to continue post COVID.
Somewhat. We have identified ways to innovate but don't yet fully understand how to implement the changes.
No. We haven't had the time to think about innovating yet.
YOUR TEAM
Have you had a transparent conversation with your team about what is happening in your business and where you are at?
Yes. Everyone on our team knows the impact COVID has had on our business and get regular updates around our current reality.

No. There has been mentioned about it here and there but no transparency around the impact of COVID on the business and our current reality.
Have you done any activities to help your team stay calm and connected through this crisis?
Yes. We have implemented many different strategies to ensure our team stays connected and feels supported.
Somewhat. We have had moments of where are team felt supported and connected but other moment when they didn't.
No. We haven't implement any new strategies to ensure the team feels connected and supported.
Are you investing time and energy to ensure your team is set up to work “digital” first?
Yes. We have had success in implement moving our teams to working in a digital way.
Somewhat. Our team is working in a digital ways but the productivity was affected and we are not fully operational
No. We are still trying to figure out how to adapt to a digital way of doing things.
Have you reviewed your org design to build a clear plan for the positions and skills you will need to be relevant in a post-Covid working environment?
Yes. We fully understand the positions and skills needed and we have started our recruitment efforts.
Somewhat. We have a general idea of the positions and skills we will need but don't have a plan yet.
No. We don't know what new positions and skills we will need at the moment.
Are you holding regular meetings and conversations with your team to ensure that you all stay aligned in the midst of uncertainty?
Yes. We meet regularly and have implement structures, agendas, etc to ensure we are aligned on priorities.
Somewhat. We are meeting but the outcomes of those meetings are not always productive and sometimes end up being more confusing than helpful.
No. We are not meeting enough and everyone is working in a disjointed way.
OPERATING POST COVID
Are you now able to sell whatever you sell online?
Yes. We were already selling online before COVID or / We are now able to accept online purchases of our product/services.
Somewhat. We are planing on it but are yet able to accept online purchases.

Are you now able to deliver whatever you deliver in a digital first way?
Yes. We have adjusted our operations so that we are compliant with social-distancing recommendations.
Somewhat. We can deliver certain products/services online but not all.
No. We still need to be in direct contact with our customers in order to deliver our product/services.
Is your supply chain strong and diversified so that you can stay resilient whatever crisis could come next?
Yes. Our supply chain is strong and have identified/build new relationship to close the gaps.
Somewhat. Our supply chain currently works but we don't have alternative options if something goes wrong.
No. Our supply chain was affected and we have yet to identify any alternative options.
Have you set up infrastructure for your team to operate well in a remote first way?
Yes. We have the right infrastructure in place and are fully setup to operate in a remote way.
Somewhat. We are set up to operate in a remote way but we lack the infrastructure to do it efficiently.

Are you set up with a strong team so that you can be as strategic as possible as CEO and invest the time needed to lead the company well - not be in constant “doer” mode?
Yes. I have a strong team that I can trust, delegate to so I can stay focus on leading the company.
Somewhat. I have some great employees and some not-so-good ones. I also need to fill in a couple of gaps to make sure I can focus on leading the company.
No. I have lost many of my team members because of COVID and I don't have a lot of support at the moment.
