char.gy would like to understand how different environmental and social issues influence your views and decision making in relation to the company.

Completing this short survey, which should take you no more than five to ten minutes, will help us to build a picture of the most important environmental and social issues across our different stakeholder groups.

As explained in the briefing note that you have hopefully received, we will be following up with some of you with a short 1:1 discussion in January to complement your survey responses with a little further colour.

Responses will be processed by Perigon, the external consultants facilitating this exercise, who will then share the aggregated (and anonymised) outputs with char.gy. Your data will be processed solely for the purpose of this exercise and in continuing with the survey you consent to your data being used in this way. This question asks you to rank a set of 12 sustainability topics (all of which are important to char.gy) in order of how influential they are on how you think about or make decisions in relation to char.gy. To do this, arrange the list in descending order of how influential with the most influential at the top. Putting something lower doesn’t mean it’s not important, just that it holds relatively less influence over how you think about or make decisions in relation to char.gy than other issues do.

Business ethics - The risk of poor customer or societal outcomes (and associated financial impact on char.gy) from any instances of bribery, corruption, poor conduct and business ethics etc.

Community infrastructure and enablement - The opportunity to support councils and drivers to transition to EVs by providing convenient and fairly-priced access to charge point infrastructure and education / information to support behavioural change.

Customer and community safety - Risks to end-user safety from char.gy’s products if they are not of adequate quality, or additional safety risks to the community during installation and maintenance of the estate.

Data and system resilience - The risk of external social or environmental factors (e.g. Cyber threats, severe weather events) disrupting char.gy's systems, or internal data protection failures occurring, and the resulting negative impact on customer outcomes and char.gy costs / revenues.

Diversity, equity and inclusion - The risk that performance is negatively impacted by low workforce diversity (e.g. Decisions made that do not represent society) or by discrimination. And the opportunity to improve diversity through education, training and hiring practices.

Impact on cleaner air - The opportunity to positively contribute to lower pollution and better air quality through char.gy’s core activity as a facilitator of clean transport, resulting in better health outcomes for communities.

Impact on climate change - The opportunity to contribute positively to good climate outcomes through char.gy’s core activity as a facilitator of clean transport, reducing intense reliance on ICE vehicles and their high-emitting waste products.

Resource use and waste in operations - The negative impact of char.gy's direct operations, and any decommissioning of end-of-life products, on the environment, and the opportunity to reduce this (often carrying cost benefits).

Supply chain environmental impact - The negative environmental impact from the manufacture of component parts of char.gy's products, and opportunities to source sustainably, promote circularity, and minimise pollution, resource use and waste.

Workers in the supply chain - The risk that workers in char.gy's supply chain are not adequately protected in relation to human rights (e.g. Modern slavery, child labour), labour rights (e.g. Fair wages), and working conditions (e.g. Health and safety).

Workforce development - The opportunity (and need) for char.gy to upskill and reskill workers in order to access the necessary capabilities it needs as it grows its workforce, and to continue developing and rewarding its employees to retain those skills and capabilities.

Workforce health and safety - Risks to char.gy’s workforce health, safety and wellness from doing their jobs (e.g. accidents, chronic health issues or stress / mental health-related issues) and opportunity for char.gy to support good health, safety and wellness outcomes.
