You get a text from someone that you hate that they need your help, and would like a face-to-face conversation. They say that they can't divulge any further information. What is your reaction?

I never reply because I'm so overwhelmed with anxiety

I'm willing to put aside our differences to help in whatever way I can! If they're texting me, it must be serious.

I'll ignore them/block them. Who gives a shit about this person, anyways?

I'll insist for more details, first. If they're asking *me* for help, then I gotta know what's going on.

You've lost control. You can see your movements and hear your words leaving your mouth, but they do not belong to you. Your friends shirk away from you, and you want to reach out and scream that you're trapped, but nothing ever works.

You're drowning. You extend your hand upwards, seeing someone reaching for you. No matter how hard you swim, you can't seem to reach the surface. Your lungs fill with water, your hand inches away from safety.

You wake up completely and utterly alone. You wander the streets, looking for any sign of life, but it's as if everyone simply got up and left. You can't shake that sinking feeling in your chest that you had something to do with it.

Something terrible is coming. You run to warn your friends about it, try to prepare them, but it is too late. You see them go up in flames, reduced to mere atoms before a bright light consumes everything. You wish it had taken you, as well.

You see a younger version of yourself, one whom you've left behind for good reason. They step forward, knife in hand, poised and ready. You see your own fear reflected in their eyes before they sink the blade into your shoulder without hesitation. You stare up at them, pleading for your own life. They wonder when you became so weak.

You return home, but nothing is as you left it. What is familiar has become unfamiliar--your friends accuse you of selfishness and other terrible behavior, your family refuses to see you, and your cat has disappeared. You wander the streets, confused and lost.

Everything you do is seen and judged. Eyes constantly follow you regardless of what you do and where you are, even if you can't see them. What will happen if they think it's not good enough? If they find out the truth?

You lie in the dirt, staring up at the night sky. Hundreds upon thousands of worms eat away at your corpse, crawling under your skin and returning you to the earth. You cannot move. You cannot scream. All you can do is wait.
