A Survivor Sensor is a new feature that monitors heart rate and detects heart attacks. To prevent car accidents caused by a person who may be experiencing a medical emergency, a Survivor Sensor is embedded into a steering wheel. The software is incorporated with OnStar to call emergency personnel or family, when it detects a heart attack.
