Think back to time when you randomly gained some knowledge, seemingly out of thin air, that you should have had no way of knowing. How did this knowledge come to your mind?

I saw it clearly, either as a word or an image. It just popped into my head and I was able to visualize this random bit of knowledge that later turned out to be correct. I don't know how I saw it. / I saw it in a dream or deep meditative state. It came to me as a word, image, or a scene being acted out.

Believe it or not, I smelled it. The smell was of 'X, Y, Z' and I recognized that from previous experiences in my life. I was nowhere near that smell, but it came to me anyway. I had no way of smelling it, but it was there, right under my nose. Somehow, this knowledge turned out to be correct.

I felt it. I didn't see it, hear it, know it, or smell it. I just felt it. It was like something was invisibly tugging at my body, pulling me in a certain direction. I could feel the atmosphere around me change. I just felt what was true, and it turned out to be right.

I just knew. I don't know how I knew, but it was like the knowledge was just immediately stored in my brain, in that moment, as if it had been there the whole time. I didn't see it, hear it, smell it, or feel it. I just knew it. It later was discovered to be true.

I heard it. Something, and I'm not really sure what, whispered it to me. / I heard it inside my mind, kind of like telepathy, but I don't know where it came from. One minute I was just standing there, and the next, a word or phrase or entire scene was being spoken in my mind. It turned out to be true information.

A friend of yours got you a birthday gift, and they're handing it to you now. Without opening it, you suddenly know what it is. How did you find out?

I saw an image of it or a word associated with it in my mind.

I heard it in my mind, like a voice telling me what it was.

I touched the gift and immediately felt it. I felt the energy of my friend giving it to me, and the energy of the item. This told me what it was.

I smelled it. The item doesn't even really have a distinct smell, but still, the faint smell of plastic wafted through my nose, and I immediately knew.

I just knew. It was as if I had known the whole time. In that moment I thought to myself, "I bet it's ___", and it was.

In large crowds I generally feel:

Completely overwhelmed. I cannot stand to be in them at all, but if I have to be, then no more than a few minutes at a time.

I don't like them. I feel claustrophobic. I can manage okay, but I'd prefer not to be in them.

They're fine. I don't really care either way.

I like crowds. I like being surrounded by people and not feeling so alone.

How often do you experience bouts of knowing things you should have no way of knowing (your best estimate)

Often. Two or more times a week, at least.

Not too often, but not too sparingly either. Anywhere from two times a week to once every two weeks. Somewhere in the middle of that.

Not very often. Sometimes once every two weeks, but usually once a month or so.

Almost hardly. Once a month if I'm lucky, but usually once every three to six months.

Basically never. I can only count a handful of times this has happened in my entire life.

How easily do you absorb other peoples' emotions?

VERY. Like too much. I don't like being around many people at once or around explosive emotions because I absorb them like a sponge and it's too much for me to handle. Funerals and weddings are especially hard for me to attend, even if I barely know the people that they are for.

Pretty easily. I can usually mimic the emotions around me, and if someone is feeling especially sad or volatile, I can tell. It usually goes away once I'm on my own though.

It comes and goes. Some days I'm more sensitive than others, but for the most part, I only feel my emotions.

It's happened before but it's rare. I'm pretty in tune with myself, but I can't really feel anything from anyone around me.

Never. How do you feel someone else's emotions? I've never done that. I can feel sympathy and empathy well enough, but nothing like this.
